License Option Enhances RAID NAS Servers

Sans Digital now offers a Fault Tolerant MPIO license option for the EliteNAS line of RAID protected Rackmount Network Attached Storage servers.

Sans Digital now offers a Fault Tolerant MPIO license option for the EliteNAS line of RAID protected Rackmount Network Attached Storage servers. The license allows multiple-path between the EliteNAS rackmount server head unit and its target storage expansion device to ensure continuous operation even if one of the NAS expansion interfaces HBA is down. Fault-tolerant MPIO provides multiple path of connectivity to its external storage array that helps to mitigate the risk of a storage outage due to interface HBA failure. Using any EliteNAS series 2U rackmount and up, users can opt to have dual SAS or Fibre Channel interface ports dedicated for use with the AccuRAID series of dual controller RAID Array with JBOD expansion capabilities. Each of the expansion interface port is directly connected to a dedicated RAID controller on the AccuRAID RAID storage array via either 4Gbp/8Gbps Fibre channel interfaces or SFF-8088 6G Mini-SAS ports. In an unlikely event that a controller on the dual controller AccurRAID RAID storage array stops functioning, the other controller will be able to continue providing RAID and data service to the head EliteNAS rackmount server units with dual interface HBA ports.
