Version 2.0 of the Signature (MS2781A) high-performance signal analyzer features up to 30 times faster operation speed, increased demodulation bandwidth, and improved IQ vector output and amplitude accuracy. It also is now compatible with the company's MG3700A vector signal generator. The combination allows measurement of complex RF and microwave communications systems, including 3.5G and 4G. The instrument performs digital modulation analysis over the 100-Hz to 8-GHz range. Its 50-MHz demodulation bandwidth permits capture, measurement, and analysis of wide modulation bandwidth signals. Amplitude accuracy has been enhanced to 0.65 dB. Signature has intermodulation distortion of +23 dBm and displayed average noise level of less than -47 dBm in a 1-Hz bandwidth. For digital modulation analysis, it measures error vector magnitude, carrier leakage, and I/Q imbalance without a separate computer. Most common measurements, including channel power, adjacent-channel power ratio, third-order intercept, and occupied bandwidth, can be made with one key. The MS2781A is priced at $49,500 with delivery in four weeks ARO.
