Embedded: Virtual Platform Simulates Environments For TI's OMAP 3

William Wong  |   ED Online ID #12368  |   April 27, 2006

The VPOM-3430 Virtual Platform provides a complete simulated environment for Texas Instruments' OMAP3430 dual-core hardware and software platform. This includes support for the latest ARM Cortex-A8 superscalar architecture inside the OMAP3. The virtual patform also simulates TI's M-Shield security framework enhanced with ARM TrustZone technology and the upgraded Imaging and Video Acceleration (IVA 2+) technology. The VPOM-3430 Virtual Platform starts at $2488 for a single user. The VPOM-3430 Platform Development Kit costs $12,488. With the PDK, designers can customize the platform hardware via authoring tools.
