Embedded: Tiny SBC Targets Industrial Apps

The Nano I/O Server packs a 1.8-MHz Pentium M and a plethora of peripherals into a 120- by 125-mm package, including PC/104 Plus expansion and peripheral connectors. This single-board computer (SBC) has right-anglemounted connectors for VGA, RS232, four USB 2.0 ports, PS/2 mouse and keyboard, and Ethernet. A Compact Flash socket is included for removable storage. Versions with a fanless 600-MHz Celeron M and a low-power 100-MHz processor also are available. Power can be supplied via the PC/104 connector or a microfit power connector that can plug into an ATX power supply using an adapter cable. Pricing starts at $229.
