3.0-V SPDT Switch Well-Suited For 802.11b/g Applications

Staff  |   ED Online ID #16626  |   September 5, 2007

Article Rating: Not Rated

With a typical insertion loss of only 0.40 dB, isolation of 25 dB, and a P1dB of 28 dBm, the M/A-COM MASW-008075 single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) 3.0-V switch from Tyco Electronics targets applications that require a high linearity, low insertion loss, and high isolation. The switch is particularly well-suited for IEEE 802.11b/g applications with a bias of 3.0 V. Typical uses include transmitter and receiver switching in linear systems such as wireless local-area network (WLAN) 802.11b/g, which connect the receiver and transmitter to a single antenna. In addition, diversity switching can be achieved by connecting two switches back-to-back on a printed-circuit board.

The M/A-COM MASW-008075 complies with the European Union's Restrictions on Hazardous Substances and is fabricated on a low-cost 0.5-µm gate-length gallium-arsenide process. It features full passivation for increased reliability. The device comes in a compact SC-70 package and is 100% RF tested for performance compliance.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The M/A-COM MASW-008075 is available from stock. It costs $0.12 in quantities of 100,000.
