Article Rating: Not Rated

Covering the S-band (2520 to 2680 MHz), a series of three lead-free, RoHS-compliant coaxial resonator oscillators from Z-Communications Inc. suits fixed wireless access and satellite communications applications that require linear tuning and low phase noise. The CRO2555A-LF offers a –107-dBc/Hz phase noise at a 10-kHz offset, a linear tuning sensitivity of 30 MHz/V (typical), and 7-dBm output power (typical). The CRO2615-LF specifications include –111-dBc/Hz phase noise, 31-MHz/V linear tuning sensitivity (typical), and 4-dBm output power (typical). The CRO2650A-LF provides –113-dBc/Hz phase noise, 19-MHz/V linear tuning sensitivity (typical), and 11-dBm output power (typical).

Each of the voltage-controlled oscillators covers the band over a 0.5- to 4.5-V range. The devices operate from a 5-V dc supply while drawing about 18 to 25 mA over the extended temperature range of –40°C to 85°C. The oscillators come in Z-Communications' industry-standard MINI package, measuring 0.50 by 0.50 by 0.22 in. Available in tape-and-reel packaging, they suit automated surface-mount assembly and reflow.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

The devices cost $29.95. Contact the company for availability information.
