The LTC2600 octal 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) comes in a 16-pin narrow SSOP that occupies the same amount of board space as an SO-8. Also available in 12- and 14-bit versions, the DAC specifies a DNL of ±1 LSB max. Current consumption is 250 µA per channel, or just 44 nA per channel in power-down. It costs $14 each per 1000.
