Intended for low frequency, high dynamic range applications, the AD1555 sigma-delta modulator with an on-chip programmable gain amplifier and AD1556 multiple sample rate FIR digital filter work in seismic data acquisition, oil and gas exploration sensor, vibration analyzer, chromatography, and ATE calibration applications. The AD1555 guarantees a dynamic range at minimum of 116.5 dB and total harmonic distortion maximum of -111 dB for precise reproduction of real-world signals. The AD1555 exhibits high tolerance to jitter over its entire ±2.25V input range and operates from a 5V supply. The AD1556 runs from a single 3.3V or 5V supply and features a 250 SPS to 16 kSPS output word rate while dissipating only 13 mW. The AD1555 and AD1556, in 28-pin PLCC and 44-pin MQFP, are priced starting at $73.73 and $24.86 each/1,000, respectively. Both devices are specified for operation from either -55°C to +85°C or 0°C to 85°C. Evaluation boards are also available.
