Without compromising noise or power consumption, the UPC8215TU SiGe low-noise amplifier (LNA) is capable of providing gain levels up to 27 dB while requiring just six external components. Operating at 1.575 GHz, the LNA specifies a noise figure of 1.3 dB and a power consumption of 10 mA. Operation is from a single 2.8V supply. Other specs include an input power of +10 dBm and 50O output matching. The device is RoHS compliant and comes in an 8-pin TU package measuring 2-mm square by 0.5-mm high. Price is $0.88 each/50,000.
