Tailored for portable products with integral TV tuners, the TA4029CTC low noise amplifier (LNA) supports two modes: a pass-through mode that allows strong signals to bypass the LNA and a LNA mode that amplifies weak signals. A VHF-to-UHF dual-mode RF

Tailored for portable products with integral TV tuners, the TA4029CTC low noise amplifier (LNA) supports two modes: a pass-through mode that allows strong signals to bypass the LNA and a LNA mode that amplifies weak signals. A VHF-to-UHF dual-mode RF amplifier, the device helps widen the dynamic range of reception sensitivity and also includes a LNA-shutdown function in pass-through mode, which reduces power consumption. Other features include support for mode switching with a logic IC and a wide supply voltage range from 2.3V to 3.3V, adjustable via an external resistor and independent of the power supply voltage. Available in a six-pin CST package, price is $0.50 each in sample quantities. TOSHIBA AMERICA ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS INC., San Jose, CA. (949) 623-2900.
