Mounted in a Flipchip in a Lead Molded Package (FLMP), the FDC6000NZ dual N-channel MOSFET switch meets the electrical and thermal performance requirements of lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery pack/charger systems. Standing 0.8 mm high and occupying a footprint of 9.0 mm2, the device fits most portable power equipment applications such as mobile handsets, digital cameras, palmtop computers and portable music players. Compared to the industry standard TSSOP-8 package, the FLMP occupies 55% less footprint area and presents a 27% lower profile. It operates over a gate-drive range of 2.5V to 12V and can handle a steady state current of 7.3A continuous. On-state resistance (RDS(ON)) is 20 m? at a drain current of 6.5A. Power dissipation is rated 1.6W. Price is $0.66 each/1,000. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR, Melbourne, FL. (321) 726-9330.
