The AT84AD001 is an interleavable, 8-bit dual a/d converter providing a sampling rate of 1-Gsample/s per channel or 2 Gsamples/s from one channel in interleaving mode. The ADC integrates dual track/hold circuitry with a 1.5-GHz input frequency bandwidth and exhibits a typical SFDR of 60 dB full scale at 500 MHz/1 Gsample/s (Nyquist). Other features include a 1:2 or 1:1 selectable data output demultiplexer, total power consumption of 1.4W, and a proprietary architecture that makes the device suitable for under-sampling and dual-acquisition applications. AT84AD001 comes in a 20 x 20-mm, 144-pin LQFP with 500 mVp-p differential inputs and 100? LVDS outputs and performs over commercial and industrial temperature ranges. Production is scheduled for March 2004 with price set at $155 each/1,000. ATMEL CORP., San Jose, CA. (408) 451-2855.
