At a conversion rate of 250 Msamples/s, the AD9480 8-bit, a/d converter exhibits a differential non-linearity of ±0.25 LSB, said to be the market's best. The device also delivers a differential non-linearity (DNL) of ±0.25 LSB that, reportedly, is two times better than similar devices with comparable sample rates. It provides legacy support for de-multiplexed TTL/CMOS output logic and LVDS outputs to accommodate both existing and next-generation digital ASICs. Operating from a 3.3V supply, other features include a signal-to-noise ratio of 46.4 dB, no missing codes, and a ±0.35 LSB DNL over a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. Sampling now in a 44-pin TQFP, price is $24.20 each/1,000. ANALOG DEVICES INC., Wilmington, MA. (800) 262-5643.
