High-Side Drivers Accelerate Automotive Apps

May 17, 2010
The AUIRS2117S and AUIRS2118S 600V high-side drivers feature very short turn-on and turn-off propagation times to drive the MOSFET or IGBT at a higher frequency.

For automotive gate-drive applications including direct injection and brushless dc-motor drives, the AUIRS2117S and AUIRS2118S 600V high-side drivers feature very short turn-on and turn-off propagation times to drive the MOSFET or IGBT at a higher frequency. The AUIRS2117S delivers output signals in phase with the input signal and CMOS Schmitt-triggered inputs with pull-down. The AUIRS2118S provides output signals out of phase with the input signal and CMOS Schmitt-triggered inputs with pull-up. Both devices provide under-voltage lockout and offer a gate drive supply range from 10V to 20V. Pricing for the AUIRS2117S and AUIRS2118S begins at $0.59 each/100,000.
