Laser-Diode Modules Integrate 200-MHz Digital Modulation

Jan. 6, 2010
The Stradus family of laser diode modules deliver digital modulation at 200 MHz.
Available in wavelengths for biomedical, R&D, and laboratory applications, the Stradus family of laser diode modules deliver digital modulation at 200 MHz. Wavelengths include 660 nm at 100 mW, 642 nm at 110 mW, 488 nm at 50 mW, 445 nm at 40 mW, 405 nm at 100 mW, and 375 nm at 16 mW. Other specs include greater than 90% circularity, a noise level of less than 0.1% from 10 Hz to10 MHz except 0.2% for 488 nm, beam dimensions of 1.3 mm in diameter for all wavelengths, a pointing stability of less than 5 µrad/ºC, and a power stability of less than 0.5% for 24 hours. Additionally, the modules are compatible with both USB and RS-232 interfaces. VORTRAN LASER TECHNOLOGY INC., Sacramento, CA. (916) 283-8208.
