Targeting DBS and VSAT designers, the UPC3236TK monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifier delivers 38 dB of gain, flat from 250 MHz to 2.6 GHz, making it suitable for use as a wideband IF amplifier in DBS LNB down converters. It is also useful as a wideband gain block or as a buffer amplifier following a VCO. Employing the proper blocking capacitors, it can operate at frequencies as low as 10 MHz. Specs at 1 GHz include a typical Icc of 24 mA, noise figure of 2.6 dB, linearity of +11 dBm, and an operating voltage from 4.5V to 5.5V.
