Optimized for use in dc/dc converters found in mobile electronics, the OptiMOS3 M series 30V N-channel MOSFET family handles applications where only a 5V drive is available The devices are said to have a best-in-class on-resistance at 4.5V. For example, the BSC100N03MS G specifies a 10-mΩ RDS (on) and a maximum gate charge of 11 nC. The MOSFETs are available in 30 mm x 30 mm SSO8 and 3 mm x 3 mm S3O8 packages. In a SuperSO8 package, the devices can achieve an RDS (on) of 2 mΩ at 4.5V and 1.6 mΩ at 10V. The S3O8 package devices exhibit an RDS (on) as low as 4.3 mΩ at 4.5V and 3.5 mΩ at 10V.
