With a bandwidth of 240 MHz and a slew rate of 450 V/µs, the ZXFV302 multiplexer chip serves a broad range of video and other high-speed switching applications. This 4:1 multiplexer is characterized for use with 400 pF loads. Output current drive is 40 mA, sufficient for driving 75_ cables and high-performance video circuits. Low differential gain and phase distortion are rated at 0.1% and 0.4°, respectively. Operation of the multiplexer is straightforward, with input channels selected by an on-chip decoder and two logic lines. An additional output-enable line allows two devices to be cascaded, allowing two chips to create a low-cost CCTV solution, for example. The device is housed in a 16-pin SMT package, runs from a ±5V supply, draws 15 mA, and costs $2.54 each/1,000. For more information, contact Neil Chadderton at ZETEX INC., Hauppauge, NY.
