A variety of NEC's NPN silicon transistors are now available in the small, 3-pin, flat-leaded M03 package. The package has an overall footprint of just 1.4 mm x 1.4 mm, making it over 40% smaller and thinner than NEC's "19" package. The M03-packaged transistors are a natural for miniature, handheld wireless systems.As an example of the devices offered in the M03 package, the NE680M03 offers an |S21E|2 of 7.5 dB at 2 GHz, a noise figure of 1.9 dB at 2 GHz, an ICMAX of 35 mA, and an fT of 8 GHz.
