Said to create a benchmark for low-voltage operation, the LMV951 op amp operates from a 1V to 3V supply and also reports the industry’s highest bandwidth at 2.7 MHz. The rail-to-rail input and output CMOS amplifier features a low-voltage noise of 25 nV/√Hz across a temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, common-mode rejection ratio of 80 dB, and a power supply rejection ratio of 80 dB. The output is buffered, making it independent of resistive loads. For power-sensitive applications, the amp provides a separate shutdown pin that reduces the supply current to 5 µA. Price is $0.78 each/1,000-unit quantities. NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR CORP., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 272-9959.
