For designers of multi-chassis datacomm and telecom systems, the four-channel AFBR-79Q4Z and AFBR-79Q5Z transceivers operate at 10 Gb/s and 5 Gb/s per channel, respectively, and support multimode fiber systems operating at a nominal wavelength of 850

For designers of multi-chassis datacomm and telecom systems, the four-channel AFBR-79Q4Z and AFBR-79Q5Z transceivers operate at 10 Gb/s and 5 Gb/s per channel, respectively, and support multimode fiber systems operating at a nominal wavelength of 850 nm. The hot-pluggable, QSFP MSA compliant fiber optic transceivers employ a standard MTP 12 fiber ribbon-cable connector. Other features include a 21-mm horizontal port pitch, backward compatibility with 5-Gb/s DDR IB and 2.5 Gb/s SDR IB, and a two-wire serial interface with maskable interrupt for wider functionality. Prices for the AFBR-79Q4Z and AFBR-79Q5Z are $300 and $250 each, respectively, in low volume quantities. AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES, San Jose, CA. (800) 235-0312.
