Passive Mixer Goes Super Linear

Claiming both the highest performance and linearity available, the MAX2042 SiGe passive mixer operates across a 2 GHz to 3 GHz bandwidth and specifically targets LTE, WiMax, WCS, and MMDS wireless-infrastructure applications. The device provides 36 dBm of IIP3, 23.4 dBm of IP1dB, 7.2 dB of conversion loss, and a 7.3 dB noise figure. Allegedly, it exhibits excellent second- and third-order spurious suppression and, operating as an up converter, delivers 32.4 dBm of IIP3, 67 dBc of LO ±2IF suppression, and a conversion loss of 6.8 dB.
