The UPDS3200 and UPDS5100H Schottky barrier rectifiers come in compact PowerDI5 packages, licensed by the company from Diodes Inc., that are said to provide twice the power density of conventional packages. The UPDS3200 is rated at 3A and 200V while the UPDS5100H specifies 5A and 100V. Another reported advantage of the 26.7-mm square, 1.1-mm high package is a reduction in thermal resistance by up to 50%. Additionally, the devices contain no lead, bromide, or antimony. Price for either rectifier is $0.80 each/10,000. MICROSEMI CORP., Irvine, CA. (800) 713-4113
