The company's latest family of switching MOSFETs employs UMOS-V, a fifth-generation process technology that improves power efficiency in high- and low-side MOSFETs found in synchronous dc/dc converters. The 11 initial members of the UMOS-V family are offered in four packages: SOP Advance, SOP-8, TSSOP Advance, and PS-8. The SOP Advance devices include four 30V, n-channel single MOSFETs with on-resistance ratings from 3.1 mΩ to 9 mΩ maximum at 10V. The SOP-8 offering includes four 30V, n-channel single MOSFETs with on-resistance ratings from 3.1 mΩ to 9 mΩ maximum at 10V. The TSSOPs include two 30V n-channel single devices with ratings of 9 mΩ and 11 mΩ at 10V. Rounding out the crew is a 30V device in a PS-8 package with an on resistance of 5.7 mΩ. Samples will be available in March with prices ranging from $0.60 to $0.90 each. Production quantities are scheduled for the second quarter. TOSHIBA AMERICA ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS INC., San Jose, CA.
