Vision Software Enhances Established Test Application

Version 6.1 of NI Vision development software adds embedded vision capabilities to LabVIEW real-time and promises to accelerate vision-application prototyping. The software module consists of IMAQ Vision 6.1 with a library of 300 plus machine-vision and scientific-imaging functions and IMAQ Vision Builder 6.1, which provides an interactive environment. Reported enhancements include improved pattern-matching accuracies on both the company’s real-time PXI platform and Windows, a faster learning curve, smaller image-template size, and shorter search times.
