An Electronic Design poll taken in the first two quarters of 2006 reveals an increasingly positive outlook on the state of the electronics industry. In the second quarter, most respondents thought the economic health of the electronics industry was showing at least moderate strength. Plus, the number of engineers looking at an increase in projects rose by 10 percentage points. Only 9% of respondents felt their companies would be decreasing its workforce, and one-third believes management has a strong game plan for the future.
