Socket Supports 48-Pin BGAs In Extreme Temperatures

Feb. 14, 2011
Addressing burn-in characterization requirements for BGA devices, the CBT-BGA-6011 socket’s contactor is a stamped spring pin with 19-gram actuation force per ball and cycle life of 500,000 insertions.

Addressing burn-in characterization requirements for BGA devices, the CBT-BGA-6011 socket’s contactor is a stamped spring pin with 19-gram actuation force per ball and cycle life of 500,000 insertions. Self inductance of the contactor is 0.93 nH, insertion loss is less than 1 dB at 23.2 GHz, and contact resistance is less than 16 m?. The current capacity of each contactor is 8A at an 80°C temperature rise and socket temperature range is -55°C to +180°C. Pricing for the CBT-BGA-6011 is $600 each.
