Steve Jester is the Senior Director of Engineering for Digi International’s Wireless Design Services team. Over his 25-year career serving as a leader and an engineer, Steve has worked with many engineering teams designing medical, industrial, and commercial products, including work at four different startup companies. He has more than 13 years of experience in professional design services, bringing clients’ creative product ideas to market. Steve’s technical achievements serve as the bedrock for his passion in building engineering teams and processes that succeed. He has found again and again that the common denominator for product development success is the team itself: hire talent, create a culture of transparency and trust, and empower the team.
