CEO, UAV Navigation
Guillermo Parodi received his BS/MSC in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University, in New Jersey. Upon graduating, he worked in Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies in NJ for five years. Mr. Parodi's responsibilities included designing backplane communication chips (ASICs) and multiplexer systems for ATM/ADSL products. He later moved to Madrid, Spain, to head the design team responsible for Gigabit Ethernet physical layer (PHY) chip design, for another three years. Mr. Parodi has also written multiple publications in delay fault simulation of integrated circuits, many of which have been presented in IEEE conferences.
In 2003 Mr. Parodi began teaching part time at a university, while organizing the start of UAV Navigation. He began working on the prototype of the company flagship product with design responsibility for the hardware and lower-level software, developed the business plan, and raised 2M Euro in venture capital investments from a private Spanish fund. He began as CTO of the company and later became the CEO, and helped secure UAV Navigation as one of the leading suppliers of avionics to the world's largest aeronautical companies in the UAV sector.
Mr. Parodi is 37 years old, a passionate air racing pilot, and the first Spaniard to compete in the world's famous pylon air race in Reno, NV.
