ARM has introduced the RealView profiler, a plug-in for the Eclipse
integrated development environment. The profiler enables non-intrusive analysis of software performance and code coverage of system workloads running over minutes, hours or days. ARM said developers using the tool can typically improve the performance of their applications by more than 20% while simultaneously reducing ROM size requirements by a similar amount. The profiler also includes comprehensive analysis of statement and branch code coverage, enabling software testing for 100% code coverage in software validation.
