The 2008 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ features OSRAM Sylvania’s Joule LED signal system technology, according to David Hulick, OSRAM Sylvania’s global product manager for automotive auxiliary lighting. Hulick said the plug-and-play standardized LED system makes it possible to present a distinctive colorless lens for the turn, brake, and tail light functions with “rich, red lights” when the signal functions are operating. Hulick said the standardized LED system simplifies the design process and can be used by many vehicle platforms for rear combination lamp assemblies (RCLs).
