Flat Sockets Target Demanding Test Applications

May 1, 2001

The new Springtac flat sockets are said to give reliable contact for the most demanding test applications. Designed to fit into small test connectors, the flat Springtac sockets can mate with 2.8 mm to 6.3 mm flat-blade contacts. The contact can carry up to 40 Adc. The flat socket is rated at more than 250,000 mating cycles. Suited for automotive electronics testing, Springtac sockets are available in non-Kelvin and Kelvin measurements and are interchangeable with contacts in some industry-standard wire harness connectors made by other OEMs. In addition, they are available in crimp or solder termination for force and sense wire.
