The RF8000, a new global positioning system receiver module, is designed for use in asset tracking, telematics and automotive navigation products. The fully-integrated, plug-and-play, 12-parallel-channel module aims to simplify and speed-up product design and implementation. By employing a rapid acquisition module, the RF8000 achieves a highly accurate rapid time to first fix and signal reacquisition. The GPS receiver also includes novel, baseband digital signal processing logic, which aids the signal acquisition and reacquisition process.
