Hella head retires

Joseph V. Borruso has retired as president and CEO of Hella North America.

Joseph V. Borruso has retired as president and CEO of Hella North America. He will continue to serve in an advisory position reporting to the German-based automotive supplier's board of management and also will assume a non-operational position as president emeritus of Hella's North American operations.

Prior to joining Hella in 1999, he was executive vice president of North American sales for the Bosch Automotive Group. Borruso began his career in the automotive industry in 1963 as a project engineer for the automotive lighting division of ABEX, where he advanced to vice president of sales and marketing.

"Mr. Borruso has played a key role in the expansion of Hella's sales, product development and manufacturing operations in the NAFTA region," said Dr. Rolf Breidenbach, chief executive officer, Hella KGaA Hueck & Co. "As a member of the company's extended management board, he also was a major participant in the development of Hella's global automotive strategies."
