Neubiberg, Germany — According to Infineon Technologies, it out-raced the global market in semiconductor products for automotive electronics in 2006.

According to a study by U.S. market research group Strategy Analytics, Infineon grew by 9.8% in 2006, with sales of approximately $1.7 billion (USD) in chip sales in the automotive market. Infineon expanded its market share to 9.5% of the global automotive semiconductor market.
