Shawn Slusser
North American Director of Marketing, Automotive Power Product Line
Infineon

Shawn Slusser is currently the North American Director of Marketing for Infineon's Automotive Power product line and has been responsible for its growth and management for the past five years.

Shawn joined Infineon in 1997 and has previously held positions as Product Marketing Manager and Field Applications Engineer. Prior to joining Infineon, Shawn held positions in engineering management and product engineering for United Technologies Automotive, including an overseas assignment in London, England where he was responsible for establishing a local Sales Engineering office. Shawn began his career as an electrical engineer for General Motors Corporation. Shawn holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield MI and an MBA from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor MI.

Elvira Palmeda is Infineon's Quality Director for Automotive, Industrial and Multi Market business segments. She is responsible for ensuring Customer satisfaction through Quality initiatives that will enable Infineon exceed customer's expectations. She will be influencing product quality through the global Infineon Automotive Excellence program to achieve zero defects.

She brings to Infineon 29 years of experience in the automotive industry with experstise in the area of Quality, Process and Manufacturing Engineering. She came from Delphi Electronics and Safety and Intel Corp holding various positions in global supplier quality engineeering, process and manufacturing engineering.

Randy Frank

Randy Frank is a contributing editor to Auto Electronics and president of Randy Frank & Associates Ltd., a technical marketing consultancy based in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is an SAE and IEEE Fellow and has been involved in automotive electronics for over 25 years. Randy worked for Chrysler and American Motors, now both part of DaimlerChrysler, on ignition, charging, cranking and electronic engine control systems. At Motorola and International Rectifier, he was instrumental in the design-in of power MOSFETs and smart power ICs for injector drivers, antilock brake systems, electronic power steering, and body electronic systems as well as IGBTs for ignition and injector driver applications. Randy was formerly chairman for Automotive Electronics Technical committee in the IEEE Power Electronics Society and a member of the MIT Consortium on Advanced Automotive Electrical/Electronic Components and Systems. He has made over 50 presentations at technical conferences including an invited paper at Vice-President Gore's Fifth Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles (PNGV) Symposium. Randy has organized and chaired several technical sessions at conferences and through the web.
