Microchip Technology Inc. (www.microchip.com) is offering a PICDEM System Management Kit that integrates a dedicated Real-Time Clock (RTC), serial EEPROM, thermal-management, an analog-to-digital converter, and power sequencing into a single PIC microcontroller.

Microchip Technology Inc. is offering a PICDEM system management kit. The kit integrates a dedicated real-time clock (RTC), serial EEPROM, thermal-management, analog-to-digital converter, and power sequencing into a single PIC microcontroller. Intended for system development and training, the kit also includes a PICkit serial analyzer to demonstrate how functions can be managed and monitored through a serial communications interface.

"Many embedded applications could stand to benefit from the cost and performance advantages that a PIC microcontroller can provide in large systems," said Derek Carlson, vice president of Microchip Development Tools.
