Preh (www.preh.com) has developed a center console climate control system it calls PrehCon.

Preh has developed a center console climate control system it calls PrehCon. Nick Lontscharitsch, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said the dual-zone climate control system has a single control knob for both the driver and front-seat passenger and uses black panel display technology in which individual function icons appear only after the ignition is turned on. A silver button with a metal surface operates similarly but has a higher value appearance.

The console features a new haptic gear shifter design as well as a master control knob with haptic user guidance. Navigation selections are made on an integrated touchpad that can also be used as a telephone keyboard. Haptic feedback is provided when selecting a telephone number.
