Proximity Switch Senses All Metals

This new version of the firm’s popular IMC Cube IM5078 proximity switch boasts of a constant sensing range on all metals. The device is flush mountable with a range of 20 mm for steel, stainless-steel, aluminum, or copper with no need for correction. Applications include automotive and food industries where target material is aluminum or stainless-steel, such as engine or transmission parts and beverage cans. The IM5078 is a three-wire dc positive switching unit with a complimentary N.O./N.C. output and a micro-dc connector. Package dimensions are 40 x 40 x 67.5 mm for mounting in any one of five directions.
