STMicroelectronics names corporate vice presidents

STMicroelectronics (www.st.com) has named Francois Guibert corporate vice president and chief executive officer of its Asia Pacific region.

STMicroelectronics has named Francois Guibert corporate vice president and chief executive officer of its Asia Pacific region. Guibert, who had been corporate vice president and general manager of ST's Emerging Markets region will replace Jean-Claude Marquet, who is retiring in October. Thierry Tingaud, currently vice president sales and marketing Europe for telecommunications, will be promoted to corporate vice president and general manager of the Emerging Markets region, effective July 1.

Last year, ST generated sales of approximately $1.8 billion in the Asia Pacific region, excluding Greater China. Sales in the Emerging Markets region (Africa, the Middle East, India, Latin America, Russia and Eastern Europe) were approximately $600 million.
