Switching Regulator Targets Industrial And Automotive Applications

The ADP3050 current-mode controlled, 1-A, step-down switching regulator IC for industrial and automotive applications boasts of an innovative design that allows up to 30% wider input and 20% better thermal performance than competing devices. The device features a 60-V load-dump rating, an 83.6- to 30-V input voltage range, a 200-kHz switching frequency, an output accuracy of 3%, adjustable and fixed output options, and a shutdown mode that reduces the supply current to 20 µA for power savings. The device is priced at $1.78 each/1,000.
