Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. (www.toshiba.com/taec/) has named Hideya Sakaida president and chief executive officer.

Toshiba America Electronic Components has named Hideya Sakaida president and chief executive officer. He had been managing director, Toshiba Electronics Asia (Singapore) Pte Ltd., where he managed operations of the Singapore headquarters and subsidiaries in Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines and India. He replaces Takeaki Fukuyama, who has returned to Toshiba's headquarters in Tokyo.
