Tyco Electronics (www.tycoelectronics.com) has taken over the relay segment of Robert Bosch GmbH. The takeover is subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities. The business segment is to be integrated into the relay section of Tyco Electronics Global Automotive Division and transferred to the Relay Competence Center of Tyco Electronics Automotive Division in Evora/Portugal.

Tyco Electronics, a business unit of Tyco International Ltd., is one of the world's largest manufacturers of passive components, as well as a leader in electricity supply technology and the design and manufacture of components for the wireless field. The acquisition of the Bosch relay product lines offers Tyco a platform for business development in the 24 V sector for trucks and buses, in the high-current segment and in the spare part and retrofitting market.
