Ultrasonic Sensor Mates With DeviceNet

April 1, 2001

The ultrasonic Superprox SM956 30 mm sensor series has now been combined with DeviceNet communications capability. DeviceNet is an industrial network to connect industrial devices such as sensors to PLCs and PCs. Many industries such as: food/beverage, OEM, consumer products, automotive and electronics have made DeviceNet a standard in their plants.
The sensors combine short deadbands with broad functionality and configurability to meet a variety of proximity and position sensing requirements over sensing ranges of 1m and 2m. Available in either an Ultem plastic or SS303 stainless steel housing, these sensors meet NEMA 4X and IP67 standards.
