Vansco buys Mitron Oy automotive electronics business

Vansco Electronics LP has acquired the assets of Mitron Oy’s automotive electronics business as well as its forest systems and bus sign businesses. Terms weren’t disclosed. The businesses employ approximately 95 people, most of them in Forssa, Finland. The acquisition represents Vansco's first foothold in Europe.

"This is a strategic acquisition for Vansco," said Dr. Niels Erik Hansen, Vansco’s president and CEO. "Vansco will benefit by acquiring a highly trained and committed workforce with electronic design and manufacturing experience and a strong customer base. The research and development team of engineers is highly educated, with skills that will complement our existing team, particularly when it comes to designing products for the European market".
