WABCO introduces autonomous emergency braking system

WABCO Holdings Inc. (www.wabco-auto.com/) has introduced an autonomous emergency braking system for heavy duty trucks.

WABCO Holdings Inc. has introduced an autonomous emergency braking system for heavy duty trucks. The OnGuardMax system, unveiled at the IAA 2008 trade show, is designed to operate in collision-imminent situations with moving or stopped vehicles.

WABCO also plans to present its new trailer telematics technology at the IAA and launch a modular automated manual transmission (AMT) system that it said will enable vehicle and transmission manufacturers to accelerate product application and time to market.
