Pumped for mobile phone, PC, and AV markets, the GNM series emerges as the industry's first 1-µF, two-element capacitor array measuring 0.9 mm x 0.6 mm, EIA size 0302. Employing the company’s proprietary dielectric-material technology, the component is able to achieve 1 µF capacitance per element, unlike standard 0201 sized capacitors. According to the company, advantages of the array include a 1-mF cap value in a small dual-value package, higher static capacitance when comparing it to a single element model, and a smaller board-surface area and placement cost due to high-density mounting. Pricing for both sample and volume quantities is $0.07 each. MURATA ELECTRONICS NORTH AMERICA INC., Smyrna, GA. (770) 436-1300.
