10.0 VA Power Transformers Carry International Approvals

June 1, 2001

The SPW-1200 series of internationally-approved 10.0 VA pc board power transformers feature shrouded primaries and a 3-flange bobbin construction that requires no electrostatic shield. Two distinct, separately isolated windings for each primary and secondary are said to assure excellent hipot capability of 4,500 VRMS between the primary and secondary windings. Safety agency approvals include: VDE 0805 (EN 60950), UL #1950, UL #1446, UL 1585 Class II & III, CSA 22.2 #66 - 1988 General Purpose, and IEC #950. The transformers are 100% final tested for induced voltage (shorted turns), exciting current, open circuit voltage (turns ratio), polarity (phasing), and dielectric strength. Pricing is as low as $3.41 each in production quantities.
