10A Relay Saves Board Space

July 1, 2006
Requiring about 20% less board space than conventional sugar cube relays, the G5LB and G5LB-25 series power relays measure 19.6 mm x 15.6 mm x 15.2 mm, making them candidates for clean room filter, freezer controls, and HVAC zone applications.

Requiring about 20% less board space than conventional sugar cube relays, the G5LB and G5LB-25 series power relays measure 19.6 mm x 15.6 mm x 15.2 mm, making them candidates for clean room filter, freezer controls, and HVAC zone applications. Employing a unique geometry, their switch contacts, rated for 10A at 120/250 Vac and 8A at 30 Vdc, can also switch digital signals. The coils specify a power consumption of 360 mW and come with class B insulation standard, with class F as an option. Available in SPDT and SPST configurations, both series are fully sealed and RoHS-compliant. The G5LB operates over a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C with an electrical life of 100,000 operations while the G5LB-25 operates in temperatures from -40°C to +105°C with an electrical life of 200,000 operations. Prices range from $0.45 to $0.63 each/10,000. OMRON ELECTRONICS LLC, Schaumburg, IL. (800) 556-6766.
