The SR7810 series point-of-load switching regulators deliver up to 12W of output power and are designed to replace inefficient linear regulators (LM78xx type) for board-level applications. Five standard models operate from inputs of 4.75 to 32 Vdc while providing regulated outputs of 3.3, 5, 6.5, 9, or 12 Vdc. Output current for all models is 1A. Standard features include efficiencies as high as 96%, overload protection, over-temperature protection, continuous short-circuit protection, and a MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of greater than 2,000,000 hours. The SR7810 components come in SIPs measuring 0.45” x 0.35” x 0.69” with an industry-standard pin out and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +71°C with no derating. Cooling is by free-air convection. MICROPOWER DIRECT, Stoughton, MA. (781) 344-8226.
